Rogers doesn't use Bell's network, however the only problem you may be running into is a tech difficulty with your actual copper line, whereas Rogers will install a modem and connect to your coaxile cable, to run VoIP, therefore, does not require the use of the old copper wire system, however, VoIP is designed to run with the existing phone lines using the copper system so you can use your existing phones, this however may be the problem and that is where Bell may come in, because Rogers does not support the old technology of copper wire, however, there should be very little instance where this may occur. Rogers would use Bell, to tell them to fix their OWN problem to begin with. So really your problem is the Bell phone line........the Rogers network runs on VoIP, if there is any difficulty it would be from the modem to the coxaile cable to the Rogers network.....This would go for any VoIP company.

VOIP For OS X?
While I have a land line at home, I do not have a land line phone (nor do I want one). The land line is currently only in place so I can have DSL. Of course, I have and use a mobile phone instead for all of my calls. Unfortunately, on select overcast days, my reception will cut out within my apartment. This is a problem when on work-related conference calls. Now, the obvious solution would be to reacquire a land line phone. That is what I intend to try and avoid. As such, I am looking at using XTen's SIP softphone and Addaline as my provider. Of course, I will probably want|need to upgrade to the non-free version of XTen's softphone and acquire a headset to really make this work. Should anyone have any opinions, experiences, or recommendations, I'd love to hear them.
